German artist Max undermines pop culture images to challenge the misrepresentations of ideas created in advertising. Commissioned by VH1 for a series of celebrity paintings, the artist has also collaborated with photographer Tyler Shields on the cover of The Big Issue newspaper. After working in advertising for a decade, Wiedemann concluded that art was a pertinent method for connecting to a contemporary world. He developed a unique method that enables him to integrate graffiti with glamorous advertisements and pop culture images onto canvas. Wiedemann’s works are exhibited around the world, mainly in major art cities such as London, Paris, New York, Miami and Los Angeles. His collectors reach from the entertainment and fashion elite such as Bono, Lagerfeld, Elle MacPherson, Kate Moss and Carla Bruni to the key players in financial markets, many HNWI's and is represented in many influential collections.
